Alan Porter is a web application developer, a nerd, a father, and a friend.

Alan really digs gadgets, technology, and networks. He enjoys working with open source software, and he is a long-time member of the Triangle Linux Users Group. His favorite Linux distributions are Debian and Ubuntu.

He has two grown children, which continue to amaze him daily. And he is married to a kind and beautiful Malaysian woman, who puts up with way more crap than any one person should.
