Suit, tie, Moe’s… mistake!
iOS7 beta2 is very unstable, crashes a lot, finicky about having video and music content loaded on it. Time to write some bug reports.
Wish I had a dime for every time I’ve heard this phrase: Hufflepuff wins the Star Wars Dance Party competition!
Middle school end-of-year celebration : students compete in Star Wars Dance Party dance-off! pic.twitter.com/ejIXi1eK0V
Kids gave their science teacher an end-of-year gift : pork bar-b-que cologne! He sprayed some on and now the whole auditorium stinks! Yuck!
Penultimate school day.
@LeafStorm See the red and blue logos at tekelec.com
It’s official… I’ll be joining the red team.
First impressions: my first Oracle schwag. pic.twitter.com/iKZyr69kuE
Saw the moon in the morning sky, a little higher than yesterday. If I had to guess, I’d say maybe 12° higher? (360°/29)
Ooh goody, beta2 is out! #iOS7
What I learned this weekend about iPhone app programming : AppDelegates and MainWindow.xib http://t.co/ShwVrOkiEO
@OldCrank I think so. Just did not want to imply “car battery charger”.
I wonder why AA/AAA battery chargers always charge batteries in pairs.

RT @graulund: Looks like the closing of the old Twitter API broke Tweet Nest. I’m afraid I don’t have time to fix it until after I graduate…
Trying to track down a problem with “TweetNest”, then noticed the author @graulund knows all about it. I should’ve checked Twitter first.
RT @kevinmitnick: Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse: The NSA has YOUR encrypted communications…

RT @cmdrtaco: Using geo-targetted tweets to determine where rich (iPhone) and poor (Android) live in metro areas.

Power’s back on after two hours in the dark… just in time for bed.
In iOS7 photo app, if you pinch a picture too much, it’ll pop out to the album view. That’s an awkward gesture overload.
I still think the arrows on git version trees look “backwards”.
Flags flying at half-staff in NC today in honor of Governor Holshouser.
D1 made me a self-opening Father’s Day present. But as we saw yesterday, she was limited to 35 grams or less.
@LeafStorm, nice… I’ve always thought of you as dot matrix with stereo sound.
D2 made me an awesome @scrapexchange Father’s Day present at @makerfaireNC! A 1991 Apple printer full of goodies! pic.twitter.com/S3iYrYcTL6
In spite of the scrubbed balloon launch, I am proud of @ncnearspace and their booth at @makerfaireNC, sharing the “awesome” with all.

Who wants to guess what these are? I never would’ve guessed. I ate one, and that still did not help me guess. pic.twitter.com/l58drh592i
umairh Shit we can do: build a giant secret surveillance system. Shit we can’t: build decent healthcare, transport, or financial systems.
@CathyNDavidson Enjoyed your talk at TriLUG last night. As promised, a foreigner’s view of Singapore alanporter.com/?singapore
Uh oh, I can’t figure out how to “shuffle all of one artist” on iOS7. I can only find “shuffle one album”.
As always, lots of goodies in the “accessibility” menu on iOS7. “Enhance Text Legibility” and “Reduce Motion” are nice.

davatron5000 It’s an unsolicited redesign, but I’m impressed one guy was able to solve most of iOS7’s icon problems in < 24hrs. drbl.in/hUnB
chockenberry Just had a thought about iOS 7: how are all the kids that don’t read and use shapes to navigate going to fare?
Trying out iOS7. So far, it ate all of my apps and data. I see some quality time with iTunes in my future.
Welcome to the future. Wife is “shopping” with her sister via FaceTime. Wife is in bed in NC, sister is in a store in China.
@nsj Here’s my thoughts on the Rush concert in Raleigh. Some photos and a link to a youtube video. blog.alanporter.com/2013-05-04/rush
Very proud of my two dancers: “native” and “smoke”.

Battery claims for Fenix E-01 flashlight were a bit exaggerated. With NiMH AAA battery, I get about 4 hours, then it goes dim (moon mode).
Just configured Apache Server Name Indication (SNI). One IP address, many SSL sites, easy! || It’s 2013, SSL should be the norm.
Today would be a good day for a walk… if it weren’t raining.
Returned a library book (due today), even though I was not finished reading it. :-(
Surprised to find our hermit crab “Blink” outside of his cage, out of his normal bedroom, and down the hall! Crustacean road trip!
…and then I tried it in a different browser. ~:-(
Finally figuring out CSS layout.
Micro AAA flashlights arrived today! Fenix E-05 is very bright, wide beam, lasts 2.5 hrs. E-01 is whiter, tighter beam, lasts 21 hrs!
Driving along the highway at sunset, fireflies speeding past make me imagine our minivan going into light speed.
The pea treatment didn’t work for long. We set Checkers off on his final voyage in a paper boat. Not quite viking style, no fire.
Pool’s closed — code brown.
Way to start the work week! Some rocket scientist burned a granola bar in its wrapper in the microwave, smell permeates entire office.
I like the way the edges of this full moon photo are so clear. No atmosphere to emblurrify. http://t.co/B4dhaqH8Jn (via @BadAstronomer blog)
Mac tip: That green (+) button is not “maximize”, it’s “zoom”. If you want to maximize, then do SHIFT-(+).
Counting my fortunes. pic.twitter.com/sr04labB0K
Our fish “Checkers” was swimming sideways earlier tonight. We cleaned his tank and fed him a pea, and now he looks much better.
We’re shuffling @owlcity tracks tonight… definitely sets a distinct mood.
