Teaching Python to D2. Topic = “classes”. She wrote a tic-tac-toe class. I made hundreds of instances of it. pic.twitter.com/AhuycgL9xQ

@SomanChainani You need to follow me (at least temporarily) for DMs to work.

@Rockhopperbot_ Your buddy @RockhopperBot was kind enough to filter out direct mentions, specifically “@rockhopper” with an @ sign.

Getting tired of @Rockhopperbot_, who retweets everything I say, and everything others say to me, because of my name.

@SomanChainani Wow, your spell is more powerful than I originally thought! Looking forward to receiving it (and to reading SGE myself).

Trying to figure out the spell that @SomanChainani has over my children… not to break it, but to tap into its power.

Just about time I think humanity has got its act together, I go and read some comments on YouTube. Ugh, it brings out the worst!

As a remote employee, I feel I should build an online identity, with consistent & life-like avatars across all apps we use for work.

I just played a 101-point word against my mom in Words With Friends. She’s gonna be so mad/proud.

@SlackHQ Wondering if I can log conversations using Slack (Mac 1.0.2). Would be nice to log all chats on the client side.

@vbatts I would prefer btsync too, if it worked. In fact, I’d prefer not to have wasted all afternoon re-fixing this problem.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to vbatts

Groan. BitTorrent Sync works great on the Mac, but Linux client is semi-supported by a team of one. Dropped it, trying SyncThing instead.

Ramin_DK Grant me serenity to accept yaks I have to shave, courage to question the need, and wisdom to know when I’m herding yaks to my barber chair.

Note to all web sites and apps that play videos or music: when you’re done playing what I asked you to play, it’s OK to just stop.

Big company life: email says my PC is missing AV software, IT web site scans me and says “No required actions detected for your OS (Linux)”

Tweaking my open source backup package “flashback”. Making it easier to install. Testing on ~$20 Pogo Plugs. Sweet! See github/sudoer.
