Hot diggity, I fixed my lawn mower! Thanks to my teacher, some guy on the internet.
Writing about swimming. Wrote “pool was a bit cool for my tastes”. Looked more like “for my testes”… which is probably more accurate.
So proud of D2! She made her own dress for her elementary school graduation ceremony!
Davis Drive, Cary: Cadillac following me WAY too closely… reminds me to keep a safe (and slow) speed, maintain good distances around me.
Yuck! I think there’s 12 years worth of rice and gunk in our dishwasher drain! The joys of home ownership!
Every ripple in the pool is mine.
More of my garage door fetish: our opener started opening & closing on its own today. Narrowed it down to a remote with a stuck button.
I suppose if I wanted to go swim tonight, I could see which swim team is competing at our pool, and just swim at theirs.
@OreoSpeedwagon_ C’mon, you know you like him. pic.twitter.com/itGXx9ogJZ

Made a special trip outside to (1) thaw out and (2) make sure my car windows were rolled up before the rain started.
@jzy I don’t know how to answer that.
First time trying the Korean “bi-bim-bap” at the cafeteria at work. Not pictured here, red hot molten lava sauce. pic.twitter.com/xFURMkoZp8
.@wunderground says 94°F, humidity feels like 101°F… good day for a 2 mile walk? I felt fine until I got back inside and slowed down!

@davewiner If you have ideas for how WordPress could be better, you should share them. It *is* an open project, after all. I’d like to hear.
Wasn’t I just here 12 hours ago?
How many dads out there are spending Father’s Day learning Python and Django? <raises hand>

After about an hour, the banging in the kitchen died down and they rang the breakfast bell. Happy Father’s Day! pic.twitter.com/HcDhAoAFVd
Downstairs, I can hear the kids banging around in the kitchen. Are they cooking up a Father’s Day “surprise”?
I think I’m going to have to hook up the hot water in our house the same way I did the internet… with a big OFF switch. #tweens #girls
@mkennedy2d SSH -D is why I seldom need a VPN. But OpenVPN is still nice on the iPhone.
In practice, I end up using my home VPN about once per year. I usually have to tweak it about once per year. You do the math.
@LeafStorm I’m wondering how you literally owe your existence to this Kmart… sounds like a good story
@0xabad1dea search for sku 1309314591 at http://t.co/xZkDzaewUl, 3 for $6 (+ $4 ship), worked for me, my 4★ review on that page
If you want your computer or operating system to be considered “enterprise” class, the 1st thing you need to do is make it boot VERY slowly.
I set up apache like a boss. Now I’m trying to set up nginx to match it, compare.
sudo pmset -a standbydelay 86400
“Too big to care.”

Of all the cool stuff at @makerfaireNC yesterday, the tiny thing that left a big impression was the sugar glider. Guess who wants one now?
After watching Little Snitch block outgoing Game Center connections for a few months, I finally disabled gamed entirely.
I got a lot of comments on my Ubuntu shirt at @makerfaireNC yesterday. Some folks assumed that I worked for Canonical.
Exhausted after soaking in all of the awesome at @makerfaireNC.
@billfarrow I ordered one online and installed it already, but thanks for the offer.
This is what happens when the chain on your garage door opener is too tight. Good news: it is fairly easy to replace. pic.twitter.com/XStmoHTxcU

In 1st grade, I rode school bus #55. Our rival bus was 188, and we’d sing “we hate… 188”. Cheers to our bus driver, Evelyn.
