Our office mouse was stuck in the cube maze. I know how that little guy feels. He did manage to escape, though. I hope I do, too.
I have not even left home, and I get word that there’s a mouse in my cubicle at work… the squeaky cheesy kind, not the pointy clicky kind.
D2 *finally* lost her last baby tooth!
Video killed the ratio star. â™#mathsongsgs
My co-workers are masters of the “half-mail”, telling just enough info that you have to reply, not enough to be useful by itself.

@mkennedy2d Gogo6 / Freenet6 is the IPv6 tunnel that terminates in Toronto. See my blog about sign-up quirks. http://t.co/JhaAS2RbYT
Installed Arch Linux and Flashback* on a PogoPlug v4. Testing it out as a backup device, looking good so far. [* I wrote Flashback]
Snow!
Neighbor asked why the #ISS was passing over Raleigh tonight, and I was SO tempted to make up a crazy answer.
As we were waiting for the #ISS to pass overhead, a low-flying helicopter emerged from the spot we were watching.
Switched my mouse to the left side, reversed the buttons. Noticed that my desk has less room on the left, and is a farther reach.
To all of my fans in United Arab Emirates, go to App Store > Utilities > All iPhone Apps > Paid, scroll to #200, see my clock app, woot!
Impressive… we still have some “parking lot glaciers” left over from the Valentine’s Day snow.
@tampachris1 … uhm … wut?
On the plus side, there are some movies that NetFlix shows in Canada that are not available in US. IPv6 tunnel lets me watch them here.
Dangit, NetFlix thinks I am in Canada because my IPv6 tunnel terminates there. It’s not showing me my “List”.
@bradangelcyk @isaackeyet @JustGetFlux Been gradually dialing mine down over time. Now reboots are blinding as f.lux abruptly turns off :-)
Ooh, sweet… I just discovered the OpenVPN iPhone app!
I think the default on Youtube & Soundcloud & similar sites should be to play the ONE video/song that I clicked on, not to play forever.
How come everything has to be a “deep dive”?
Chrome decided to drop a “notification” widget on my Mac’s menu bar. I disabled it in “chrome://flags”.
Setting up my 3rd mail server. Count ‘em… THREE!
Power outage at work… 2 hours in the dark. Most went home. I should’ve.
Found my font problem, pilot error >> In Firefox preferences, set “Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above”.
Wondering why icon fonts are not loading on Firefox, look great on Chrome. Twitter’s menu bar show hex boxes and foreign characters.
Office getting new door badge readers. Some rocket scientist decided work should start at 8am, locking out the maximum number of people.
So proud. D1 called me “Dear Father, who is a perfect incarnation of the appearance that a father should have”.

Fitbit lost its mind, refused to sync. Setting it up like a new device, hoping it’ll recover.
I installed the IPvFox & IPvFoo extensions on my browsers. Impressed that so many of my normal web connections are IPv6 (but not Twitter).
AT&T internet outage. Rerouting our home network through my neighbor’s wifi. I feel like Geordi La Forge. @levarburton #ddwrt
Snowed today. Forecast says 70°F one week from today. Welcome to NC!#ncwxx
The URL https : // ipv6 . alanporter . com contains 4 of my favorite words. ipv6.alanporter.com
My home network has been IPv6-less since September 2012… and I just now noticed it! My router had it, but LAN did not. All fixed now. :-)
A bird flew into our garage.
Overhauling my personal web page (the implementation, not the overall look). Using more modern tools.
To all of the kids going to school today, <Nelson laugh> HAH Hah!
Finally fed up with the sideways sliding volume knob on the sideways sliding lock screen on iOS7. Wrote a bug report. Constructive feedback!
@JescaAustin Same strategy can be applied to software development… for me, it’s iPhone apps!
@rwenderlich @philhassey Flashback! Many hours were spent playing the original DOS-based GALCON in our college dorm!
I work in a company full of robots. “For any issues, please contact [admin email or phone]”
Reminder to self - Never fill out a web form directly. Use a text editor, cut/paste into form. Many web forms like to disappear w/o saving.
Tonight was a WordPress night.
Really digging the 99PI notebooks that arrived today. Glad that one was a Heyoon. (shout out to @romanmars) pic.twitter.com/rx2qNFVamz
Also, real fans would be ticked that I am ignoring the game, staring at my laptop instead. Real friends would understand… and join in.
Good thing I’m not hosting a superbowl party. Watching over-the-air TV, breaks up into little digital blocks. Friends & fans would be irate.
Weird… my TV decided that it was time for a firmware update. I wonder if it’ll still work after it’s done.
Gong Xi Fa Cai, y’all!
If movie theaters were like TV (or Youtube), every movie ending would slide into the first 20 minutes of some other movie.
I am someone who “does not watch TV”, yet I have a Roku, Apple TV and a Chromecast.
This morning was supposed to be a snow make-up day at local schools. But instead, it’s day 5 of the shutdown caused by 2” of snow.
